NIGHTLIFE ZARAGOZA GUIDE
Zaragoza doesn't have the international reputation of Madrid or Barcelona when it comes to nightlife, but don't let that fool you...
It’s a genuine university city, and you can feel it the moment night falls. Here’s the complete guide to the best party areas in Zaragoza, so you know exactly where to head depending on what you’re after each night.
Erasmus Touch (Events & Parties)
Before diving into the best party areas in the city, there’s something you should know: at Erasmus Touch we don’t just tell you where to go out, we also organise our own events and parties so you can meet new people, have a great time, and experience the touch vibe first hand.
Erasmus Touch is the brand behind bringing Erasmus students together a few times a month. We don’t run many events a year, and that’s on purpose: we’d rather keep it about quality than quantity.
At our events you’ll find people just as lost and good looking as you, all just as up for making the most of the experience. Maybe you’ll make friends for the rest of the year, maybe you’ll find your other half (you never know), and you’ll definitely walk away with a bit of our merch, since we always give away stuff for you to take back home and remember us by.

La City (Plaza San Francisco): the ultimate student atmosphere
If you live near Campus San Francisco, this area is going to feel very familiar. Known among students themselves as «la City», the Plaza San Francisco area is packed with bars that have a genuine student vibe, perfect for a drink at reasonable prices without having to leave the neighbourhood.
The vibe here is more about «beers and laughs» than clubbing until sunrise: venues usually run until 2 a.m., making it the perfect option for a weeknight out or for warming up before moving to another area on the weekend. It’s also the most obvious plan if you live around San Francisco.
Best for: a chilled weeknight, catching up with your flatmates or classmates, or simply not spending much while meeting new people.

El Casco (Calle El Temple): where all of Zaragoza goes out
If you want to see where the whole city actually goes on a Friday or Saturday night, El Casco is your spot. Its main street, Calle El Temple, is the central axis of Zaragoza’s biggest and most varied party area, with a huge concentration of pubs and clubs spread across the streets of the historic centre (this is also right by El Tubo, though that area is more about tapas during the day).
At night, El Casco fills up with people of all ages and styles: from quieter pubs to clubs playing mainstream music well into the early hours. It’s the area with the widest range of venues in the whole city, so if one place doesn’t do it for you, the one next door probably will.
Best for: a proper long night out, bar-hopping between venues, and finding whatever vibe you’re after without leaving the area.

La Zona (Camino de las Torres – Cesáreo Alierta): pubs non stop
La Zona is the popular name for the stretch between Camino de las Torres and Cesáreo Alierta, another major concentration of pubs and clubs in Zaragoza, a bit further from the touristy buzz of El Casco but just as lively both midweek and on weekends.
It’s a great alternative if you’re after a similar vibe to El Casco but with a bit less of a crowd, or simply if it’s closer to home depending on your neighbourhood. Pubs are the dominant format here too, with nights that tend to run late.
Best for: anyone after the same energy as El Casco but in a somewhat less crowded area.

El Ambiente (Calle Fita): Zaragoza’s LGBTQ+ neighbourhood
Calle Fita and its surroundings make up what’s known in Zaragoza simply as «El Ambiente,» the city’s go-to area for the LGBTQ+ community. Here you’ll find the most inclusive venues with the best atmosphere for LGBTQ+ people and allies, with a laid-back, party-heavy vibe that holds its own against equivalent areas in bigger cities.
It’s an essential stop if you’re after a specific, welcoming atmosphere, and it also tends to be one of the liveliest areas in the city during celebrations like Pride or themed parties throughout the year.
Best for: experiencing Zaragoza’s LGBTQ+ nightlife with a genuine, close-knit atmosphere.
